how can I choose a right college major

     

Goal is an object of a person's ambition or effort, an aim or desired result in the future. Choosing a correct major is one most essential decisions for university student because 

it would be affect to our journey of life after get graduate from the college. 

Unfortunately, there are many students who have dropped their goals even in year one or year two in the university because they are choses wrong goals not base in their heart, they follow their family. Some student follow their friends, or follow their teachers, etc. In this case, I do not talk about another reasons as well as the student dropped out cause of their financial problems or poverty. But I am going to share about the ways how to select a correct major among your own heart, not follow anyone else. 

Based on my experiences, I have some tips to realized and decided to choose to majoring in International Relations, it is the good course for me regarding to my real heart. In fact, I also facing like as some student who do not know how to choose a major base on their heart in the university. So, now I want to share some tips how I chose a correct major such as follow your destiny, base on your talent,  find your passion, get advice for career mentor, think about the benefits of your major.

Discover your passion

Passion is a very powerful feeling, for example love, hate, anger, or other emotion.   You may find your hobby or something you loved. Knowing your perspective and mindset, you are setting your goals related to your passion.  Then look at yourself, what are you good at, just write, draw and say loudly with yourself. 

Understanding your personal passion is the most good method to desire to choose a goal in the university. Many times, the answer to how to discover your passion is right in front of you, but you are refusing to see it. And you starting follow anyone instead. So, follow your real passion as more as you could. 

Follow your heart

I do appreciate if you following through your own destiny not anyone else. The way to select the major is important to know your heart-need and follow it. This year, you you need to making your goal base on mindset and heart. As my quote, "when you follow your heart, you would not regrets what you are doing or choosing for life during the college," This quote is I fully agree because it could help to selected a good major related to my to skill. 

However, some of my friends, they are followed their parents, friends, neighbors. Finally, most of them are skipped  the class and stopped study now. And another friends, they are trying to change the major even they are in year 3 and year 4 because they did not follow their heart and goals. 

So, you guys who reading this point, must be considering about your own destiny of year dream and heart. Do not follow anyone else instead you yourself. Choose a correct major, it may help you be able to complete your goals in long way of life.

Talent is the natural ability to do something well. Talent is good thing you rather understand and when you are talented at something, it will brings you more trustful and satisfaction. Talent is makes you can find feel strong commitment to do something as well as you easily to select your major in the university. 

For me, I discovered myself had a good talented to make communication with people even strange guys whose I have never met, but I could talk with them very powerful with faith. Other hand, I knew my talent is loving to read and listen the radio which talking about the economic, political, ideological, etc. This is the second thing that I found myself can majoring in International Relations. 

Do not forget to look for your best talent, and then ask from the adviser who majoring in your interesting major.

Do not be afraid to ask the adviser or professor who teaching in your desire major  you're considering what will you like to learn the most. I believe, they will recommend you to choose a major base on your heart and they will guide you.  

Know benefits of your major

 Know the benefit of the course of your academic is also can help you to understand and encourage you to get it.  You should know the crucial things from courses of majoring when you graduate. What are you gonna be after finished the major? You may may know  the major you choose will neither predict nor guarantee your future. In fact, there are many graduates find job nothing to do what they studied in college. They do the work not base on their favorite skills, but they are force to work. For you, you know the major that relates to your skills in the future. 

Definitely, the reasons I decided majoring in International Relations because I knew the potential courses that can help me to succeed in career in the future.  Study this subject gaining specialized knowledge related to intercultural theory and approaches, students graduating from an international relations program will typically develop and refine the following skills:   Research and analytical skills to help evaluate complex problems and synthesize data to tell compelling stories.  Communication skills to communicate effectively across channels and mediums, from writing to verbal communication. Interpersonal skills to aid in building relationships and goodwill with stakeholders, which is especially important when working in a multicultural or cross-cultural setting.

 Repeat, you must know the benefits of your favorite major and be considering on the impact of courses after graduate. 

Last but not least, I recommend you to follow your heart rather than others people's heart. There are more reasons that make student choose a major in the university base on their own heart, family, family, neighbor, and cause of environment of the society. But you guys must choose a major by your own selves. This is just some tips that could make me have chose a right major. You guys make good considerable base on yourself.
