IPC League is the most popular football league and the
best-watched sports league in the indigenous communities. There are 12 football
clubs are part of the league and they play more matches in home and away match
format. According to the Indigenous federation, the Indigenous Peoples Champion
League season runs from February to May for every year.
The Indigenous Peoples Champion League-IPCL is
local competition, is known as an indigenous football tournament, which was
established on 5 August 2020 in Oyadav district, Ratanakir province, Cambodia.
The game was initiated by a group of indigenous guys as well as Mr. Romam Blen,
Mr. Don Ratanak, Mr. Romam Fon, Sev Bai, Rocham Samoeun, and Romam Menh were
co-founder of IPCL. This game is a football event that conduct by mixing
indigenous peoples from different Jarai communities.

First football champion competition in 2020 in history of Jarai

The event was first held on 16-17 August 2022 at
the Pa-Ar stadium base in Oyadav district. Therefore, there were only four
football teams such as Chrong Village, Pate Commune, Borkham Commune and
Porknhai Commune. Fortunately, Pate Commune Club was the champion and Chrong
Village Club was the second good team in 2020.Second season, was planning to conduct in 2021 at the Pa-Ar
Stadium, but the federation of league has delayed because of Covid-19 was high
spreading in the community. However, the second competition is starting conduct
on 19 February 2022 at the Kongthom Stadium.
The purpose of game is to promote cooperation,
understanding, solidarity, and engage relationship among indigenous
community.

Recently, indigenous football (soccer) is the
most popular in the Jarai local commuity. On the holidays, every young player,
they usually play football to improve team solidarity and build strong
connection with other communes. Football is very benefit for local people to
improve mental health and physical health. Football not only to build
communication and benefits for health, and it is also good thing for young
people to avoid from drugs or do bad habits in the rural community.
