 International Relations? 

It refers to the field that study of the interaction of nation-states and no-government organizations in fields such as politics, economics, and security. This major is focuses on understanding the unique relationships that exist between various nations and cultures. The international relations can impact everything from international politics, law, and economics to security, diplomacy, and governance.

Here is the most important skill, you'll develop and improve as an International Relations student:

1. Gaining better skills (researching, analytical, communication  & interpersonal skills)

Sure, most of international relations and diplomacy programs are designed to students for new skills as well as communication skills across the nations. In fact, IR is much provides students with great technics of researching, IR's student are pretty good in researching on politics, economics, global issues. More than this, majoring in international relations is good way to improve the analyzing and student will be better understand on world issues, climate changes, human rights and can also analysis on government policies. Specifically, International Relations is always makes student better know the methods of communication skills.

2. Deep understanding on Political, Economic, Culture and History

In the society, economic, culture and history are most important thing for all people from all around the world to know the events what was happening in the past of many centuries. Nowadays, understanding on politics is crucial for citizens because studying international relations can help students to understand politics and economics of society as well. They can gain a better know the important of peace and the bad affect of war for the country. Importantly, they would study history, political theories, economics, international organizations, and other aspects of international politics.

3. Improve leadership skills

Of course, the program offers students an opportunity to improve and awareness the leadership thorough practice with classmates, professors,  and with foreign students from all the world. 

In the process of studying this field, students may learn something new and  there are many mentors who waiting to share and guide students to reach out their dreams or goals.

Studying international relations could give us opportunities to climb the ladder of power and shape the country’s policy. Even if we are not interested in working for government, there are also many jobs that IR graduates can do such as teachers, writers, analysts, advisors, and researchers.

5. Conclusion: 

This is just the article that I experienced from being a student who majoring in International Relations at The University of Cambodia. For me, I thought that the courses of IR is good major for students to gain the knowledge related to the political, economic, human rights, climate changes, global issues, etc. Meanwhile, the subject of IR is provides student to be deep understanding in the analysis and leadership. There are  many jobs that IR graduates can do such as teachers, writers, analysts, advisors, and researchers for company, organization and government.
